Thigh Lift: Medial vs. Vertical — Choosing the Right Approach

Cited Research

Thigh lift surgery is one of the most under-explained body contouring operations. The technique chosen depends entirely on the pattern of skin excess.

Medial (inner) thigh lift

Incision hidden in the groin crease; tightens the inner upper thigh. Best for mild-to-moderate laxity without significant vertical excess.

Vertical thigh lift

Long incision down the inner thigh; addresses both circumferential and vertical excess. Reserved for massive-weight-loss patients with significant skin redundancy.
